What experience and qualifications do your nannies have?

All our nannies are 21 years and over, they have experience in childcare and relevant qualifications.  A criminal record check has been completed for each nanny and references followed up.  We also train all our nannies in resort pre season for the specific requirements of working in a mountain environment.   Most importantly, they are a cheerful team and enjoy caring for children.



Where does the nanny look after my children?

Our Nannies will come to your holiday accommodation and will use the familiar surroundings as their base with the child.   The Nannies will also take the children to play outside, go for walks and sometimes to town. All out door activities require written permission from a parent.


What will happen on the first day of the Nanny care?

If you are using our childcare service for the whole week then on the first day the nanny will come to your accommodation half an hour early for an introductory meeting.  This will give you an opportunity to discuss the arrangements for the week and any special requirements for your child and it will also allow the nanny and children to meet with you present.


What will my children do on a typical day with Morzine Nannies?

Our nannies will come to your holiday accommodation where they will help create a happy and enjoyable environment.  They can also, with the parents’ written permission go on an adventure outside.  This could include snowman making, igloo making, shopping and much more.  There is also an opportunity for the nanny to bring the children up to an easily accessible mountain restaurant* to join you for lunch. (*This is only applicable for full days)



Do Morzine Nannies provide lunch?

Due to dietary requirements and allergies we ask that the parents provide all food e.g. snacks and meals.    If the parents provide cash in advance then the nannies can take the children to eat in a cafe.


What equipment/toys do I need to provide my children with?

If you would like the Nannies to take the children outside to have fun in the snow, then the children must be provided with waterproof winter clothing, outdoor footwear, hat, gloves, sunglasses and sun cream.  Do remember to bring some of their favourite toys as we know how important these can be.



Will my Children have some ‘quiet time’ during the day?

Being out in the fresh mountain air is exhausting for everyone, so the nanny will ensure that your children have adequate rest and will manage the day to keep your children’s routine as close to the normal as possible.


Will we have the same nanny all week?

We know how important continuity is in childcare, so we will endeavour to provide the same staff for the week.    However, on occasions things do happen out of our control e.g. sickness, if this is the case we will provide you with another one of our professional nannies.
